Lucius VerusThe Rogue Classicist says today is the anniversary of the date on which the Emperor Marcus Aurelius and his co-emperor Lucius Verus celebrated their triumph for victory in Persia in the year 166 A.D. According to DIR, the Historia Augusta jokes that the triumph celebrated the end of the Thespian War because Lucius Verus spent most of his time watching theatrical performances, drinking, and dining. Lucius Verus deserves credit for his ability to delegate well and select capable generals. Fronto adds that he improved the soldiers' morale.
