Iraq War on Artifacts

The war on Iraq may be over, but the toll in artifacts is not yet in. The loss of these artifacts is a blow to more than just Iraq, but the whole world, since this area -- Mesopotamia (the land between two rivers) -- is where dozens of items we think of as part of human culture originated, including the wheel, plumbing, and domesticated livestock.
