Review Latin During the Summer
Friday July 11, 2003

Some tips on reviewing Latin this summer
MORE: Latin
It is almost impossible to learn Latin without devoting time to memorizing vocabulary, so ten minutes a day, according to Prof. Smith, should be devoted to learning vocabulary. Flash cards are good for some people. Writing and rewriting the word and definition works for others. Some of the half hour should be spent going over one aspect of Latin grammar or reviewing forms -- one declension at a time or one conjugation. The rest of the daily half hour of Latin review should be spent on translating sentences, like those from Wheelock.
