Geese can be pretty noisy and as effective as roosters when it comes to waking people up. Fortunately for the ancient Romans, they had a gaggle of geese to honk and alert them to the presence of invading Gauls. Now, according to NEWS.com.au, the Israelis are taking a goose-filled page out of Livy. Found on Rogue Classicist David Meadow's page.
