Siloam Tunnel Located and Dated to 700 B.C.

Tuesday September 23, 2003
Siloam, a Biblical tunnel mentioned in Kings 2 and Chronicles 2 was thought to have created around 700 B.C., but there was some evidence that a date 700 years later was more likely. According to a Nature.com article, radiocarbon dating of plant residue and thorium in stalactites backs up the earlier date.
