The Daily Nebraskan reports on an archaeology lecture series on
Phylos Palace, which was discovered in 1939, delivered by Michael Nelson, an adjunct professor of art history at Macalester College. "Nelson discussed the unusual construction of Phylos Palace and compared it to other palaces from the same period. This palace was used as a center for politics, protection, storage and possibly even worship, he said."
