Brad Pitt, who plays Achilles, injured his Achilles tendon while making the movie. The second hurricane to strike the filming, tore down the walls of Troy. The war in Iraq caused a last minute change in shooting location.
The story is an adaptation, taking the Trojan Horse from Vergil, and downplaying the role of the gods.
The movie Troy, starring Brad Pitt as Achilles, Orlando Bloom as Paris, and Eric Bana as Hector, will be in theaters starting May 14. According to the Time Magazine article, it has one week to make good.
