Odysseus' Tomb Discussion

Saturday October 1, 2005

James Diggle, a Cambridge professor of Greek and Latin says "the topography of Homer’s island fits the area 'like a glove'". Although once an island, the area now called Paliki is no longer separate from Cephalonia, as a result of landslides and earthquakes.
Diggle's co-authored work, Odysseus Unbound: The Search for Homer’s Ithaca, will be published on October 6 by Cambridge University Press.
