Dynasties of Ancient Egypt

In the third century B.C. an Egyptian priest named Manetho listed 30 royal dynastic houses of ancient Egypt, followed by the Persian rulers. Manetho's work is gone, but an epitome of it survives from versions written in the third to eighth centuries A.D.
