Acropolis, Hagia Sophia on the Ballot for the 7 Wonders of the World

According to the English edition of Kathimerini's article, Acropolis on list for wonders of the world, the Acropolis in Athens and the Hagia Sophia church in Istanbul, are among 21 sites competing for positions on the 7 wonders of the world list. The poll is on the Internet, according to the article, and is run by the Swiss-based New Seven Wonders of the World campaign.
