Worst Betrayals

By January 26, 2006

Follow me on:

In ancient history (here, including Biblical history and mythology), there were many famous betrayals. I know there were, but I'm having a bit of trouble coming up with a good list. There was the conspiracy that assassinated Caesar, Judas' betrayal of Jesus, the German betrayals of the Romans (especially at Teutoberg), Delilah's betrayal of Samson, David's duplicitous conduct with respect to Bathsheba's husband Uriah, and Odysseus' betrayal of assorted figures. If you can think of some other serious ancient betrayals, please add them to the forum thread: Worst Betrayals. If I get enough, perhaps I can divide them into Mythological, Biblical, and Non-Biblical Ancient History. Thanks.
