I think I’m glad we skipped Goya when we did our artist study last year. Saturn was not a nurturing parent, that is for sure!

I promise I won’t always post such gruesome ones. I put this one up because my husband said, “What’s THAT?” He almost never notices what I’m working on, so I knew it had eye-catching power. I had planned a milder one that I’ll probably use next week.

Well, the mythological story is quite grotesque in itself (Saturn devouring his children) - but that is quite a fantastic image.
