Thank You

Wednesday November 26, 2008
Have I mentioned lately how grateful I am for JSTOR? Not that I ever, ever, ever find what I'm looking for in it, but I invariably find a gem. What could be more appropriate tonight, Thanksgiving Eve, than finding a new way of saying "thank you" in Latin? Besides Gratias vobis ago -- which of course I do -- can you think of another way to give thanks in Latin? If not, then read Thank You.

That of course doesn’t fix the overseas problem.

Do you have access to a university library? The article can be found in the dead-tree edition of a 1940 Classical Weekly.
