Have I mentioned lately how grateful I am for JSTOR? Not that I ever, ever, ever find what I'm looking for in it, but I invariably find a gem. What could be more appropriate tonight, Thanksgiving Eve, than finding a new way of saying "thank you" in Latin? Besides Gratias vobis ago -- which of course I do -- can you think of another way to give thanks in Latin? If not, then read Thank You.

What me, jealous? You bet.
They are a chokehold on human knowledge. JSTOR has made a commodity out of a treasure, a market out of the labors of countless scholars.

Well, someone has to pay for it.
If more public libraries would shell out a little bit of money as mine does, a lot more people would have access.
That of course doesn’t fix the overseas problem.
The poster Tom should have told us that he is the owner of the blog he cites, IMHO.
Do you have access to a university library? The article can be found in the dead-tree edition of a 1940 Classical Weekly.
