Praxis Grammatica - How to Invite Yourself for Lunch in Latin

By , About.com GuideFebruary 28, 2009

The 17th century Praxis Grammatica that I quoted from yesterday in "How to Get a Good Night's Sleep in Latin", starts out with more mundane, practical Latin. Practice your Latin with the following, from the start of Praxis Grammatica:
[ 1 ] Ego sum hodie apud te pransurus.

[ 1 ] I am going to have lunch at your place today.

Praxis originally came from a Greek word prâxis 'deed, act, action'.
