My failure to correctly identify yet another Augustan Guess Who forces me to confront facts:
I need to go back to Rome.
I have a feeling my clues may actually mislead.
I had to click through to see who, too… but learned more about the fellow! For example, I’d not realized he ruled for so long! Thanks!
It’s not your clues as much as our lack of knowledge or at least in my case. I’m struck how lifelike these busts are. The Romans were certainly masters of art with stone.
My guess is Claudius… but only a guess, I have not seen this bust before.
