I knew this one right away, yee-ha!
Ah-ha! I thought it might be, and it was! He was always so fascinating to me… When the boys were drawing tanks and fighter planes, I was drawing war chariots (complete with waving plumes on the horses’ heads) and spear-wielding Egyptians.
Congratulations!
Gee, the name was familiar but I didn’t recognize the face! He is the subject of one of my favorite poems.
I guess a generation of news items on mummies paid off this time — I recognized this one, or to be perfectly honest, had it narrowed down to the right answer and one other possibility.
For a nice detail of his face see here.
From the online Catalogue General Antiquites Egyptiennes du Musee du Caire: The Royal Mummies by G. Elliot Smith.
It appeared at first as though he was standing there casually with his foot crossed. Yikes. I’ll have to look to see who this used to be. He’s well preserved for his age at any rate! Maybe they could put that in face cream
Looking pretty good for an old guy, but I guess his embalmers had long enough to prepare for his burial
I am bothered that not more historical evidence exists about Moses and the hebrew slaves. What is the hard evidende that any of Moses stories are even close to accurate truth?
the information i get from the history enough full but i want to say it lacks social histoy
