The myths are such great cautionary tales, as well as being endlessly entertaining though often tragic.
Wow! I’d never read this myth before and you made it such a fascinating story. I wonder if the old term of “balderdash” had its origins here somehow?
I had no idea before clicking on the photo. But what an image! The detail is spectacular.
This rendition seems to suggest more of a reason for murder than does the illustration of them all fully clothed.
