Can Abecedaries Be Used to Date the Book of Psalms? argues that two of the letters of the Hebrew ABCs were changed in the late second millennium B.C., and, as a result, the approximate dates of versions of psalms can be calculated.
Dating is possible because some of the psalms were written as acrostics that only make sense when the order of the letters fits.
