Was the Emperor Constantine, the Roman leader who set up Byzantium as the new headquarters for the Roman Empire and who opened the way for Christianity to be the state religion, a hypocrite? He said he'd convert to Christianity if he won at the Milvian Bridge, and he did win, but he probably didn't convert until he was approaching death.
