Odysseus' Home in Ithaka

Friday July 15, 2005
Not all the Greeks who fought at Troy died before reaching home. Odysseus, for instance, although he lost all his companions, did arrive back home -- 20 years late. At least that's the story that is told in the Odyssey. The story of Troy may be based on fact, but what about the fantasy-adventurer Odysseus?
According to forum member Ruthaki,
"I've lived and travelled in Greece many times and have visited various sites such as Troy and Ithaka where Odysseus' bronze age palace has been excavated."

What do you think? Has Odysseus' palace been found? Is modern Ithaka the Ithaka of Homer's Odysseus?
