Plotinus

Definition: Plotinus was a Hellenistic Greek philosopher born A.D. 205 in Egypt, who wrote the Enneads. Plotinus developed the last major Greek philosophy of Neoplatonism. In his later years, Plotinus taught in Rome where his students included Porphyry and females. Porphyry studied under him and wrote a biography of Plotinus, and published his Enneads, with commentary.
