Definition: First built by the third king of Rome, Tullius Hostilius, the Roman senate house was known as the curia. The word "curia" refers to the elected leaders of the original three Roman tribes. The leaders were the "curiae".

Also Known As: Curia Hostilia, Curia Julia, Comitia Curiata
