Definition: Mjolnir or the Crusher was the hammer of Thor in Norse mythology. Thor wore iron gloves to hold Mjolnir, as well as a special belt. In one story about Mjolnir, the giants stole it and Thor had to dress up as a bride (on Loki's advice) to recover it.

Alternate Spellings: Mjollner
Examples: In addition to being described as a hammer, the powerful weapon known as Mjolnir is also described as an axe or a club.
