Ninhurzag
The goddess Ninhurzag is also known as Ki and Ninmah. She and An were the progenitors of most of the gods. Ninmah is an ancient mother-goddess, who acted as midwife at the creation of man.A Sumerian earth and mother goddess, Ninhurzag was Enki's consort. She is also called Nintu who is the Lady of Birth, a childbirth goddess. She ensures fertile fields and when she cursed the world it became barren; hence the cycles of seasons.
