Naiad

Naiads (naiades) are the mythological nymphs who preside over bodies of fresh-water. They are divided into categories based on the types of water they inhabit: Crinaea (fountains), Eleionomae (marshes), Limnatides (lakes), Pegaeae (springs), and Potameides (rivers).
