The primary emphasis of this site is the customary one, the classical world, i.e., Greece and Rome. This is a selection of the highlights and/or the topics most people would expect, but there is much more on this site, so please try the search box.
Several of these links will bring up more complete indexes/indices [see note on usage *].
This site deals with ancient history, from roughly the beginning of time until the Fall of Rome in A.D. 476. For all practical purposes, however, it covers only the era of written history. For more ancient artifacts, you're better off seeking information from the Archaeology Site.
*The English plural of "index" is either "indexes" or "indices." For the plural of "forum" and "virus," please see Term to Learn: Forum and What Is the Plural of Virus.
