Aeneid Preface Quiz 1

Lines 1-33

The start of the Aeneid tells you the basic themes and introduces the rest of the epic poem. It is very important. Many students are required to memorize a large chunk of it. For these reasons, it seemed fitting to create a quiz specifically about this section, with probing questions -- at least I hope they are. The quiz is marked Quiz 1, since I hope to write more quizzes on this particular section. Questions cover grammar, translation, comprehension, and just a touch of background, but there are only 10 questions, so there isn't too much of anything.

It's possible my terms and/or the punctuation of my edition may be slightly different from yours, so don't worry if you get a wrong answer, but you should be able to answer most of them if you're preparing for the Latin AP Poetry Vergil exam. If I'm wrong, please let me know.
