Re

Re was the Egyptian sun god who, like the daily sun, went through various transformations. The rising sun was Khepri, the morning sun was Re-Horakhte or Re-Horemakhet, the noon sun was Aten, and the setting sun was Amun. Re worship became popular in the middle of the Old Kingdom. From the fifth dunasty on, kings took the title "Son of Re."
