Definition:
Tuthmose, which is Greek and means born of the god Toth, was the name of pharaohs in Egypt during the 18th dynasty. The first Thutmose was really Djehutymes and his throne name was Aakheperkara. Queen Hatshepsut, daughter of Tuthmose I and wife of Thutmose II, served as regent to Tuthmose III.
