Typhon (Typhaon, Typhoeus, Typhus) was the last son of Gaia. Typhon's father was tartarus. He is described as having a hundred heads. With Echidna Typhon's children were Cerberus, the Lernaean hydra, and the Chimaera. Typhon is mentioned by Hesiod, Pindar, Aeschylus, and the Homeric Hymn to Apollo. |
