Amaterasu
Sun goddess, ruler of the Plain of Heaven. Eldest daughter of Izanagi. She hid in a cave until Uzume lured her out at which time a beam of light, the dawn, escaped.

The Sun Behind the Rock
Amateras-Ohmikami is the greatest Japanese god, the sun goddess. Her brother Susanoh made her so angry that she hid behind a rock until lulled out by a party.
