| Eileithyia |
Eileithyia was the goddess of childbirth in Greek mythology. Homer describes her as the goddess of the pains of birth, who was in attendanceon Delos when Leto gave birth to Apollo. Eileithyia may originally have been a Minoan goddess. She had a cult in Crete and also temples in Sparta.
