Magna Mater Magna Mother means Great Mother. She is an ancient Anatolian goddess also known as Agdistis, Cybele, Kybele or Kybebe. Attis was her consort. Magna Mater was a foddess of fertility and nature.The cult of the Magna Mater was brought to Rome in 204 B.C. after advice from the Sybilline Books and the Delphic Oracle.
