From Encyclopedia Mythica. Sarasvati is goddess of river waters, fertility, and wealth, the patroness of speech, writing and learning, and the arts and sciences. She is also the consort of Brahma.
Saraswati is the Hindu goddess of learning and speech. Her origin is the lost Sarasvati River from which origin she is connected with all things fluid.
