The Graecostasis was a platform between the Comitium and the Forum. Sacrifices were made there to Luna, the Roman moon goddess (like the Greek Selene).

Mundus a ritual pit with a cover that was removed three times a year: Aug 24, Oct 5, and November 8. Lid was regarded as the gate of hell (ostium Orci). Spirits (manes) could emerge to roam the city.
