Venus Details | Venus Basics
Venus is a Roman goddess of spring, love, and beauty, whose worship is closely linked with the Greek goddess Aphrodite. Venus is also the mother of Aeneas, the Trojan hero of the Aeneid, who left the fallen city of Troy, with his father Anchises on his back. Eventually, after a dalliance in Carthage with Queen Dido, Aeneas arrived in Italy.
