Kings List of the Neo-Babylonian Dynasty

The following information on the kings of the Neo-Babylonian Dynasty from John E. Morby's Dynasties of the World; Oxford University Press: 1989. Here are the names and dates of the kings of the Neo-Babylonian Dynasty (625-539):
  • Nabopolassar 625-605 (also given elsewhere as 626).
  • Nebuchadnezzar II - son 604-562.
  • Amel-Marduk - son - 561-560.
  • Neriglissar - son-in-law of Nebuchadnezzar - 559-556.
  • Labashi-Marduk - son - 556.
  • Nabonidus and Belshazzar - Belshazzar was the son of Nabonidus and named by him as co-regent - 555-539.
For the Old Testament on Belshazzar see the Book of Daniel Chapter 5. Nebuchadnezzar is mentioned in Daniel. He is also in Kings II and elsewhere.
