Definition: The Forum of Nerva was actually built by his predecessor, the Roman Emperor Domitian, but Domitian was assassinated on September 8, 96, which was before the dedication. Domitian had created the forum as a reorganization of the busy, commercial Argiletum street, between the Temple of Peace, on the west side, and the forums of Caesar and Augustus, on the east. Nerva dedicated the forum in A.D. 97.

To the north of the Forum of Nerva lay the Temple of Minerva. Nerva's forum is about 150 feet wide.
