The Roman Forum

The fora were public squares, meeting places for business. The major forum was called the Forum Romanum. In Rome there were also the Forum Caesaris, the Forum Trajani, a forum boarium (a cattle market), a fish market called the forum piscarium, a vegetable market called the forum holitorium, and a hog market called the forum suarium.
