The Cyclops were one-eyed giants and blacksmiths of Greek mythology. There were two generations of cyclops, the first, the sons of Uranus and Gaia, and the sons of Poseidon best known from the Odyssey when Odysseus and his men poke out the eye of the cyclops Polyphemus.
