This list of the Parthian kings comes from Jona Lendering: Parthian Empire. He writes that the Parthians came to power under Mithridates the Great and fell to the Sassanian Persians. While the Parthians were in power, they "occupied all of modern Iran, Iraq and Armenia, parts of Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, and -- for brief periods -- territories in Pakistan, Syria, Lebanon, Israel and Palestine."
