Ebionites
In addition to the Pharisees, Sadducees, Essenes, and Zealots, there were two groups of Christian Jews in late second temple Palestine, the Nazarenes and Ebionites, who were followers of John the Baptist and Jesus, and were led by Jesus' brother James. This selct believed Jesus was a man of exceptional virtue, but some also believed he was born of the Virgin Mary.
Eusebius on the Ebionites
Among the early Jewish Christians were the heretical Ebionites, some of whom believed Jesus was simply a virtuous man, but a mortal, and others who thought he was born of the Virgin Mary, but refused to acknowledge he had pre-existed.
