4th Century Greece and Rome

From N.S. Gill, About.com

In the 4th Century, the Classical World was dominated by the Macedonian leaders Philip and his son Alexander who put their efforts into conquering Greece first and then the rest of the world. When Alexander the Great died in 323 it put an end to the Classical Era of Greece and began the Hellenistic one. In Rome, the 4th Century was filled with battles as Rome began her climb to the supreme power in Italy.
