Olympus - Mt. Olympus

Definition: Mt. Olympus, at 9,570 feet in height, is the tallest mountain in Greece. It is referred to as snow-capped. To the ancient Greeks, Mt. Olympus was the home of their (Olympian) gods and goddesses. Mt. Olympus is on the border between Thessaly and Macedonia. The name of Mt. Olympus was used for the famous panhellenic games known as the Olympics.
