Pharisees

Definition: Pharisees ("Ephraim" in some Qumran writings) are one of the three orders of Jews during the Second Temple period who stictly observed the rites and interpretation of the law. They taught about the immortality of the soul, resurrection of the body, future retribution, and a coming Messiah.
