The first Jewish revolt against Rome, under the emperors Vespasian and Titus, in A.D. 66, culminated in the the destruction of Jerusalem in 70. The second Jewish revolt -- known as the Bar Kochba revolt -- began in 132 against the Emperor Hadrian.
