"Mediaeval Commerce (Asia)" From The Historical Atlas by William R. Shepherd, 1926.
Medieval Asia Commerce Map
This map shows medieval lines of commerce. For antiquity particular areas of interest are along the silk road. The Chinese controlled the area westward to the Tarim basin (section Ic-d). The next kingdom was the area of the Kushans, in the northern area of modern India and Pakistan, with a center at Kashmir. Next going west came the Parthians. The last area contained the Asian provinces of the Roman Empire.
