Definition: Asgard (Asgarð) is one of the regions mentioned in Norse mythology. There are nine worlds in Norse mythology. Asgard is where the Aesir gods live. Asgard may be in the branches of the world tree Yggdrasil. Asgard is surrounded by a wall beyond which is a forest.
