Plebeian - Roman Plebs, Plebes, or Plebeians

The Roman Plebeians were originally dominated by the Patricians.
Plebeian
That part of the Roman population whose origin was among the conquered Latins. Plebeian is contrasted with the patrician nobility.
Proletariat
In contrast with the Plebians and Patricians, the Proletariat was the real lower class of ancient Rome.
Censors of the Roman Republic
The three-fold functions of the censors were to register citizens and their property, superintend new buildings and public works, and preserve the public morality.
Comitia Tributa
The assembly of tribes gave one vote to each of thirty-five tribes which kept the urban dwellers from passing legislation that adversely affected the farmers.
12 Tablets
In the struggle of the orders, the plebians agitated for the formation of a written code of laws that came to be known as the twelve tablets.
Plebeian Timeline
Gradual admission of plebeians to places in the magisterial hierarchy (quaestor, aedile, praetor), and acceptance of them by the patricians in the family and the legal system.
Plebeian Games
The Plebeian Games were held annually in Ancient Rome from November 4th to 17th. The games were in honor of the god Jupiter and were held in the Circus Flaminius.
Populares
The Populares started about the time of the Gracchi to help the people of Rome.
