Definition: Eschatology is based on Greek words meaning study of the end things/times. The end of the world story of Ragnarok in Norse mythology and Cicero's Dream of Scipio as much as the afterlife in Judeo-Christian or Zoroastrian monotheistic traditions are fit topics for eschatology.
In Christianity, eschatology deals with topics like the afterlife, the return of Jesus Christ, the fate of the soul, Heaven and Hell.
